![]() Additionally, he wears a belt with a skull buckle around his waist and has another belt wrapped around his left thigh. He wears spiked boots with spurs on them, spiked bracelets on his wrists and upper calves, he also has a spiked guard on each knee. His outfit consists of a black leather vest, black pants and dark gloves. He has crimoson eyes, with prominent lower eyelashes and arched eyebrows. Katakuri is a very tall, muscular and broad shouldered man with crimson hair. ![]() I give her a 10/10 for being unique yet beautiful. She is clolorful and seperates herself from most female designs which tend to be basic. Overall I like her design a lot, it's the best female design in the series to me and I love those boots. She also carries a sword around on her back and has a rose tattoo on her right thigh. Additionally they also seem to act as guards for her legs, having wide parts at the knees which resemble the guards Cracker has. They reach up to her lower thighs and look amazing, they are very detailed and have an intricate design. She has a a pink leotard on and the best feature about her design are the awesome boots she wears. She has very large hands over which she wears gloves and has sleeves that cover her elbows. She wears a weird looking hat sometimes and also has a long scarf. She is very tall, being a longleg hybrid and has tanned skin with white hair and blue eyes. I think this is unfortunate, but Smoothie breakes the norm to me. They tend to look pretty similiar, many are beautiful, but there aren't many special feautures to them. I really wanted to include a female on this list, sadly most of them don't stick out in terms of character designs. I like both designs a lot, the new one gets a 10/10 from me. I especially like the metal arm because it has lots of details and fits perfectly to his abilities, as well as the scars got. I really like his post timeskip design, all the changes made his design even better. He still wears his fancy pants and googles, but changed his coat to a simpler one. There are several metallic pieces and wires embedded into his skin that connect to it. He lost his left arm and replaced it with a mechanical one, that seems to function like a normal one. Additionally, he has two scars that run along his right arm. He now has several scars, a large one that runs from his forehead over his neck and down to his chest, and a smaller one over his left eye. He resembled what I imagine an over the top pirate looks like.Īfter the timeskip he changed a lot. He also had a bandolier in which he carried a dagger and a gun, gold bangles and his trademark, square goggles over his forhead. ![]() Pre Timeskip he had a pretty extravagent style, wearing brightly colored pants and a large fur coat lined with spikes. He has dark reddish lips and finger nails, with no eyebrows. Kid is a tall, pale man with spiky read hair that resemble flames. Warning! This list is filled with Spoilers! This is honestly just me ranting about how cool certain characters look, if you're down for that and want to know my picks, let's get started! ![]() This blog is pretty long, I summarized each characters appearance and then gave my thoughts on it. Even if I think that characters can look terrible sometimes, I still appreciate Oda's creativity a lot and I think it's great that he always wants to create something new. Compared to other shounen worlds, which often have pretty linear designs, you can find anything in One Piece and I love that. They come in all shapes and sizes, with all kinds of features, traits and colors. I like Oda's designs so much, because there are no limits to what a character can look like. I wanted to dedicate a blog to this topic, because some designs really deserve recognition. I will also asign a score to each one, just for fun. In this blog I want to talk about my favourite ones, just explaining why I like them. He has some of the coolest looking characters I know under his belt and I'm completely in love with some of them. Even if it's weird, funky and annoys me sometimes, I still love most of his designs. I love Oda's artstyle, well at least the majority of it.

![]() Single Slit Interference? Interference? Wave Interference is by definition multiple waves overlappingĪt a single point. Now if I were you, I'd already be upset and a little mad. Why would the half-way point guarantee destructive interference? The decision to pick d = w/2 just seems so arbitrary to me. Basically, wouldn't it be true that for every point on the final screen, there will be two point sources that destructively interfere? And then using the logic of this video, couldn't i justify pairing up all the other points with their respective points of destructive interference? Obviously this isn't true, because then there would be no interference pattern at all, but what am i missing here? Why isn't this true? So theoretically I can pick any random point on the final screen, measure it's angle, t, from the point source being analyzed, and then pick a different point source that is a correct distance, d, from the original point source to destructively interfere with it at the final point on the screen. Unlike the double slit experiment, the d (the distance between two sources of wavefronts) can be varied. Ok so, initially the equation is dsin(t) = m L/2 (t being theta, L being lambda). ![]() not an easy concept to grasp, so please keep asking f its not making sense yet. We say that the individual slits have imposed a single slit 'envelope' onto the double slit pattern So the individual slits 'superimpose' their individual effects ONTO the double slit pattern. But look, it is gradually fading towards the edges.that is the effect of the single slit pattern. See the green picture above. The combination of the two coherent sources produces the regular max/ min pattern of a double slit diffraction pattern. the COMBINED effect of A and BĪnd the independent effects due to A and the effect due to B. The new sound C is due to the interaction of A and B.īut then we find that A has its own independent effect on CĪnd B also has its own independent effect on C and combined, they produced a new sound C. Imagine if we have two identical sound sources A and B. Hereīut you can see here that each of the slits has its own 'influence' on the pattern of maxima and minima. The double slit pattern is not a combination of two singles slit patterns.īut you can see BOTH patterns at the same time.įor the double slit pattern, The waves from each slit 'combine' to form the regular maxima and minima of the double slit pattern. w(lambda), see the next video, titled "More on single slit interference". These diffraction patterns occur under the assumption that the slit is small relative to the wavelength of the light - i.e. ![]() Consider how we do not observe diffraction patterns when there are larger holes in, say, window curtains. This will occur when the difference between the lengths of the beams of light are (lambda)/2.įor other cases, the diffraction pattern will be less noticeable, or non-existent. In other words, in cases where the beams of light at the top and midpoint are destructive, then we will see this diffraction pattern. Let me see if I can find a diagram to help.īut its a great question shows good thinkingĥ:27, David says that IF the top and middle beams of light interfere destructively, then all of the other beams of light will interfere destructively (as every beam of light will have a "partner" that destructively interferes and thus cancels it out). The size of the individual slits determines the shape of the 'envelope' that controls the size of each of the maxima. The interaciton of the light from the two slits produces the regular max-min pattern Now, how quickly they get smaller depends upon the size of the individual single slits that make up the double slit.Īs the slits of the double slit arrangement get narrower, what happens to the double slit pattern? You will see that if the slits are very narrow, then the hills (maxima) in the double slit pattern get smaller but much slower. They get smaller as you move away from the centre line. Well, if you look again at the double slit patter, the hills are not all he same size. So, where is the single slit pattern in the doubles slit pattern? lots of equally sized hills (max) and valleys. looks like a big hill in the middle with smaller hills on each side ok? Its a little difficult to explain face to face even, so on here, may be a bit tough, but, here goes. |
